Take A Look Inside

If your high beginner students are reading sentences, but need support to move on to stories, this book is written for you. The 16 uplifting, high-interest news stories in this book are 100-150 words long and written in 20 or so short simple sentences. The first version of each story is in comic strip form. This allows students to understand the basic plot and brainstorm for vocabulary. The next version is an easy-to-read sentence-by-sentence format, i.e., each sentence is on its own line. Later in each unit your students will have the option of reading the story in paragraph form. There are a wide variety of ready-to-photocopy exercises to reinforce new vocabulary and ideas.
